Heather Witt

Heather obtained her Elementary Education degree from the University of New Mexico and embarked on her teaching journey in Farmington, New Mexico, where she taught kindergarten for 5 years.

In the following years, Heather held a short-term position in Southern New Mexico in a Kindergarten class. She took time off to care for her newborn child before returning to teaching in Williamsburg, Virginia. Heather then lived and taught in VA for 4 years and relocated to Sartell, MN in 2021 where she has since been teaching at Athlos Academy.

During her time at Athlos, she has taught Grades 2, Grades 3, and Kindergarten, always striving to create a positive learning environment for her students.

Heather makes an effort to always be a caring and nurturing person both in and out of the classroom and likes to hold her students to high expectations. “Seeing students year after year. Being their morning hug before they head to class. Athlos is a wonderful place that allows students movement and flexibility,” Heather says.
