Job Duties:
1. Plan, develop, and evaluate lessons for basic computer, keyboard, and internet skills to students in Kindergarten through Grade 8.
2. Teach internet safety including personal responsibility for technology use.
3. Assist students in connecting to technological principles in the real world.
4. Keep abreast of developments in the technology field by reading literature/journals, talking with colleagues, and professional development.
5. Maintain and monitor student usage of computer lab equipment.
6. Be aware of and monitor internet usage for students as outlined by Athlos policy.
7. Work collaboratively with Administration to continually develop effective lesson plans using technology.
8. Collaborate with the building principal on technology updates.
9. Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the computer lab materials.
10. Appropriately differentiate activities to account for student’s capabilities.
11. Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction that engages students and provides academic growth.
12. Be an active presence in the school community.
13. Ensure student growth and achievement in accordance with grade level expectations.
14. Model the Athlos culture.
15. Responsible for tracking student attendance, behavioral issues, and classroom events.
16. Participate in regular professional development.
17. Communicate with parents and the community regularly and professionally.
18. Communicate regularly with school leadership and other faculty to maximize instructional activities.
19. Participate in the school’s professional learning community to enhance learning objectives.
20. Meet professional obligations by honoring schedules and deadlines.
21. Demonstrate the standards for effective practices of teachers in the Minnesota Standards of Effective Practice.
22. Any other assigned duties.
