The Athlos Academy of St. Cloud governing board is preparing for their annual election and looking for individuals interested in joining them in serving on the governing board. Athlos Academy of St. Cloud is governed by a dedicated group of individuals comprised of parents, teachers, and community members. The primary role of governing board members is to:
- promote public understanding of the school’s mission,
- develop a framework for setting goals and developing strategic plans for accomplishing those goals, and
- provide financial, academic, and governance oversight.
There are a variety of different roles on the board that will be available, and all are welcome to apply.
Please review the description of the roles and expectations, as well as the interest form. The window for submitting interest forms will open February 4, 2019 and run through March 4, 2019. Please submit a completed interest form and resume to email@example.com by March 4, 2019.
Elections will be held from March 4-21, 2019, and the new board members will be announced at the March 25, 2019 board meeting. New board members will be oriented in April 2019 and seated at the May 2019 board meeting.
Board members should expect to contribute 5-10 hours of time per month, including serving on a committee of the board. Board service meets the thirty-hour volunteer expectation for parents. The next board meeting will be held January 21, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at Athlos Academy St. Cloud.
