Heather Ebnet has been working in education for over 25 years. She has held various roles including classroom teacher, Talent Development Specialist, Academic Coach, Administrative Intern, Assistant MS Principal, and Elementary Lead Principal. Currently, Ms. Ebnet is serving as the Executive Director for Athlos Academy of St. Cloud.
Ms. Ebnet’s educational journey began when she earned her BS degree in elementary education from the College of Saint Benedict in 1996. Since then, she has taught a wide range of grades from K to Post Secondary Courses. In 2003, she received an MS degree in Human Relations and Multicultural Education. Most recently, she obtained her Principal Licensure through St. Mary’s University and is licensed as a K-12 principal. Additionally, she still holds an active teaching license in Minnesota for Grades 1-6.
Ms. Ebnet was honored to receive the Principal of the Year Award from the Central MN Counselors Association for her support of Social Emotional Learning in schools. She strongly believes that students can only experience academic growth when their social emotional needs are met and is a firm advocate for educating the whole child.
Equitable access and opportunities for all students are at the core of Ms. Ebnet’s beliefs. She aims to bring this equity-focused mindset to Athlos St. Cloud, with the goal of providing high-quality instruction to all students as well as cultivating a thriving community of learners.
