About Elsie Ibuoka

Elsie is an experienced and dedicated professional in the field of education. With over fifteen years of experience, she has honed her skills both inside and outside the classroom.

She earned her MA in Educational Leadership from the University of Roehampton in the United Kingdom, and her journey has taken her to diverse educational settings – from an elementary school in Lagos, Nigeria to a secondary school where she served as the school administrator.

Elsie’s passion lies in fostering a strong connection between home and school to support the holistic development of every child. This passion led her to Athlos Academy, where she was drawn to the school’s comprehensive approach to nurturing students’ physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being. “Addressing the total well-being of a child is crucial for the advancement of any community or nation,” Elsie emphasizes.

As an educator, Elsie’s main goal is to instill self-confidence in her students and help them uncover their own brilliance. She looks forward to meeting her new students and making a positive impact in their lives in a positively-charged school environment that promotes growth and excellence.

First and foremost, her insatiable curiosity drives her to continually seek out new knowledge and adapt her teaching methods to inspire a love of learning in her students.

Next, is Creativity. Elsie’s teaching style thrives on this PC trait. She constantly explores innovative and dynamic ways to capture her students’ attention and cater to their diverse learning styles.

Finally, Elsie’s unwavering Grit empowers her to persevere through challenges and stay committed to her students’ growth and success, regardless of setbacks. These traits are the heart and soul of her teaching philosophy.

  • In my spare time, I write short stories and even published my first book last year.
  • I love to dance and sing (really don’t know how to do these), and I review motivational and Christian songs with joy.
  • I run a Bible Club for children and teenagers.
  • I love to watch movies and spend quality time with my family and friends.
  • I am happily married to my bestie, and we have four amazing children.
  • I love the color Brown and Green, and I love cute puppies but I do not have any yet.
