About Ms. Beckman

Victoria Beckman graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and elementary education. She gained her reading specialist license in graduate school and currently has her K-6 elementary and K-12 reading licenses.

“I feel well rounded with my educational background and extremely thankful for all the opportunities I’ve had with teaching multiple grade levels,” Beckman said.

When asked about her best quality as a teacher, Beckman said, “I practice self-reflection journals. This has helped enhance my teaching styles to challenge students. My best quality as a teacher is that I am aware of my biggest strengths and weaknesses.”

Favorite Performance Character Trait: Grit

“A trait of perseverance, to guide me to accomplish my goals despite obstacles I have encountered. As a parent of three children, I try to model grit and teach my own children that positive motivation will help them achieve objectives in their daily lives.”

Q: What are three things most people don’t know about you?

  • I used to be in a marching band in high school.
  • I’ve been known to sleep with my eyes partially open.
  • I have a terrible fear of going to the dentist.
