About Christina Haggerty

Christina Haggerty joined Athlos Academy of St. Cloud in the fall of 2017. Ms. Haggerty earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph where she minored in early childhood and art. She earned her Master’s degree in education with concentrations in literacy, diversity, and technology from the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth. She has taught second grade for two years, fifth grade for twenty three years, and third grade for one year.

As an educator, Ms. Haggerty describes her best quality as rigor.

“I expect the best out of each student no matter what level learning they are at,” she said. “My students know that I have faith in them and will help guide them to success. They feel comfortable to make mistakes and take chances in my classroom because I set up a safe environment for learning.”

At Athlos, Ms. Haggerty’s goal is to contribute to the school in any way that can help build and make the school successful. She finds the focus on physical activity at Athlos especially important because it keeps you healthy in many ways.

“Activity is so good for the mind, body, and soul,” she said. “It plays unimportant part in my life, daily!”
