About Ms. Zierden

Amanda Zierden received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a K-5 endorsement in communications/language arts from the College of St. Benedict in 2013. During that time, she worked for the Boys and Girls Program of Central Minnesota. Prior to joining the team at Athlos Academy, Zierden was the company coordinator for five years at Albany Area Schools.

Zierden feels her best quality as an educator is her ability to get to know students and form a trusting relationship with each one of them. “I believe that this helps set the framework for my classroom and creates a positive relationship for the students that they can look back on for the rest of their lives,” she said. “I strive to be an inspiration to all of my students!”

Favorite Performance Character Trait: Energy/Zest

“I believe that it is important to go into whatever life hands you with enthusiasm and excitement. This will result in better outcomes and will improve your daily mood!” she said.
